This page is a one-stop resource for important details about what you and your student need to know about the start of the school year. Please note that some of this information is subject to change as our planning around the Covid-19 pandemic evolves.
The first day of school is Monday, August 31, 2020. The half-day schedule will focus on orientation activities.
Both new and returning students will spend either the morning (8 a.m. - 11 a.m.) or the afternoon (12 p.m. - 3 p.m.) with their assigned pod for orientation programming. Students will get to know each other, meet their teachers, as well as key people and places on campus. The slot will be determined during August scheduling and will correlate to the two pods.
EMS Is Now Nut-Free/Peanut-Free
Landmark’s Elementary•Middle School campus will be nut-free/peanut-free for the 2020–2021 school year. Due to the logistical challenges of COVID-19 mitigation strategies, our dining hall will be expanded into several socially distanced lunch areas. For students with life-threatening food allergies, this creates an increase in risk. EMS has chosen to eliminate these potentially life-threatening allergens from our campus. Sage Dining Service will continue to provide nut-free/peanut-free snacks and lunches for our campus. Sage’s kitchen and serving facilities are also nut-free/peanut-free. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
